Where are the leaders !!
Today's AIIMs strike is yet another testimony to the fact that the present government does not have any power at all. The govt: decides against disinvestment bowing to pressure from DMK. And here we have ministers, who even without consulting the top brass of government issue sweepstakes statements and orders. The latest to join the bandwagon is anbumani ramadoss who had sacked Mr.Venugopal the director of AIIMS purely to satiate his ego and that too without an overwhelming majority of board against the decision of DR. ramadoss(pun intended). I thought the governments role was more to do with managing the country and not trying to destroy it. The present congress government is one of the weakest I have ever seen or read about. Absolutely lacks power. Where is the PM when the doctors are protesting and I hear that one person called as sarvesh has died at AIIMs due to lack of doctors attending on him.
From whatever I can gather out from this article venugoapl seems to be a revered person in the medical profession and one who has sacrificed his entire life towards the medical profession. Removing him not only mars his illustrious career graph but also wounds him deeply for a selfless service which he has done so far. No wonder u see the huge protests and some even calling it the black day of Indian medical history. Read this.
now when we knew manmohan singh would become the PM the stock market immediately rose by a whooping amount. There was widespread anticipation and expectation. Than you sir, you have disappointed us completely. We looked for a leader, we don't have one now. He goes into hibernation . This was the same case during the reservation issues. If he feels he does not have the power to take decisions its better to resign and keep his untarnished name intact rather than getting subdued by people with vested interests.
we in Tamil nadu had an inkling of hope that parties like lok paritran would be the next big power in India. hmm..That also turns out to be a damp Squibb. Power corrupts everyone !! How true !!
